SGH Elite Squad Trials & Family Picnic Day

SPORT GULF HARBOUR ELITE SQUAD TRIALS - Sunday 4 March - 9am at Wentworth Sports Gym.  Trials are open to all Sport Gulf Harbour Members.  This squad is designed for children who excel in sport and want to learn skills that will help them become top sports people.  The course runs for the year and meet once a month for modules covering the following aspects: Physical skills, Fitness, Coordination/Flexibility, Sport Intelligence, Learning to Win, Goal Setting, Injury Prevention, Nutrition and Advice from Top Athletes.  We are proud of the Scholarship Partnership with Wentworth College.  Wentworth have generously given Premiere Sport Scholarships to children from the Elite Squad since 2010, enabling children from our local area who are leaders in sport to remain locally and therefore further develop sport in our community.  If you have goals to reach and a passion for sport, let Sport Gulf Harbour help you fulfill your dream.  elitesquad@sportgulfharbour.co.nz

Cheerleading Trials

Free Cheeleading Trials will be held on Thursday 1st March
Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre, 5.30 - 7.30pm
Cheerleading is a great way to get kids active and involved in a new team sport where they will learn lifelong skills and values.  They will learn how to do flips, stunts, jums, dance and so much more.
This is a beginner level 1 team that will compete against other level 1 junior teams in several competitions throughout the year. NO experience is necessary and you must be aged 5 - 14.

2012 Netball World Series Tournament

Registrations are filling up fast  for the 2012 Netball World Series Tournament to be played on 19-20^th April at the AMI North Harbour Netball Centre.  Open to years 5, 6, 7 and 8 for players of all abilities.  Have the chance to play in a world series team like Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia to name just a few.  Registrations close 1 April 2012.  For more information and a registration form contact Hiria (0274-363638) or Ruth (021-1742923) or email netballworldseries@xtra.co.nz.

Kelly Sports after School Sports Programmes

Kelly Sports are running after School Sports programmes again this term.  Sports include; Athletics, Cricket, Basketball, Football, Hockey and Touch Rugby.  It’s not too late to register.

We are also running a Hockey module on the Hibiscus Coast.  Any student interested in playing Hockey is welcome to come to our “Summer Hockey Festival” at Whangaparaoa College Astro turf on Tuesday 28^th February at 4pm.  There will be an opportunity to play, win some prizes and meet some Black Stick Players.
